Grandma Hoyt's Country Buffet & Catering | Our Story
Thirty Years of Home Cookin'
Grandma Hoyt's has been feeding Bessemer City since 1994 — same family, same recipes, same warm welcome every single day. Pull up a chair. There's plenty.
Founded in Bessemer City, 1994
We opened our doors on Virginia Avenue over thirty years ago with one idea: cook like real Southern families cook, and treat every guest like family. Nothing fancy — just good food made with care in Gaston County.
The Cabin and the Fireplace
Step inside and it hits you — wood-paneled walls, a big fireplace, and something good coming out of the kitchen. We built this place to feel like Sunday afternoon at grandma's house.
We Bring the Food to You
You won't shuffle through a line here — our staff brings the food right to you and keeps it coming until you're full. That one detail says everything about how we feel about our guests.
Thirty Years of Familiar Faces
After-church crowds, birthday celebrations, weekday regulars since day one — Grandma Hoyt's has been Gaston County's gathering place for three decades. Our catering brings that same home cooking right to your event.
The Same Recipes, Every Plate
Fried chicken, chicken and dumplings, mac and cheese — recipes over a hundred years old that we haven't touched, because we don't need to. Every plate carries the same love Grandma put into the very first one.
